Improved Concessions

The boosters made a major investment in our concession operations this year by purchasing two new popcorn machines. These new machines will help us meet the demands of our customers. Both are larger capacity kettles (16oz) that will increase our output 40%. They have stainless steel kettles that are easier to clean. The outdoor concessions unit has a large cabinet that will hold more popped corn while the indoor concessions has a smaller footprint to save space. These machines are commercial grade and we expect them to give us many years of service. We can now say Linden has the Best popcorn in the metro league!!!

New Concession Stand Screens

This project was a priority for the boosters to help concession workers become more efficient and reduce lines during large events. We researched many options for this project and received several bids ranging from $3000- $7000 !!! Way more than we needed to spend. With the help of Home Depot planners and a really nice product Greg Durkac and Scott Jacques spent a good part of their weekend getting the framework built and screens installed.

We are very happy with the results and we hope these larger windows will help expedite service at our games. We did this whole project with a cost of less than $600!

Now all we need are volunteers to properly staff the concession stand during varsity football games. We have struggled to get enough people to work these games the past few years. All Freshman and JV parents are asked to work at least one home varsity game. If this happened we would be ok. If you have not signed up please contact Chris Durkac to volunteer.
